Breakaway sponsors a nationally ranked racing team to encourage its employees to participate in healthy, athletic activity. The team races every Saturday morning in Central Park and has proven to be one of the strongest teams on the East Coast.

The team consists of Adam Myerson, Kevin Monahan, Jason Snow, Jason Gould, Ray Diaz and Bill Innes. Four of the team members have been bicycle messengers sometime in their racing career. Former Breakaway riders include 1992 World Pursuit Champion Mike McCarthy and Junior World Champion Jessica Greico.
